Hey guys
Looking for a flat and asked the estate agent if I could view it. They asked for info like who’s occupying the flat, occupation, budget, can we cover 3x the rent PCM (to see if we can afford it) etc etc…..
But what threw me off is when they asked if I can give 12 months rent up front. Is this normal?

Ive only rented a room in a house share via the landlord up till now and only gave 1 months rent in advance. Never heard of 12.
Does anyone have experience with this?
